Park Work Day!

Join us for our monthly work day in the park! Depending on what is needed at the time, we could be cleaning up/maintaining flower beds, laying mulch, planting, or picking up litter. Meet at the enclosed shelter house parking lot (3237 Wicklow Rd) unless another location is mentioned. Feel free to come and go at your leisure if you cannot stay the whole time. Any needed tools and materials will be provided.
We will be complying with social distancing orders. All FOWP members will be wearing masks, and ask that you please do the same. Please also bring your own work gloves if you have them in order to minimize touching of tool surfaces.
We are striving to keep all of our volunteers safe while we improve the park, so we ask that you please prepare to wear a mask and gloves while participating. Since all of this work is outside, we feel confident that we will be able to comply with distancing restrictions while completing our activities. Working outside is a fun activity that can still be done with minimal contact, so we hope you’ll join us!
11/14 will be our last clean up of the year, and we’ll be taking some of the annual bulbs (cannas, elephant ears) out of the beds near the enclosed shelterhouse. Meet at the enclosed shelterhouse parking lot (3237 Wicklow Rd).
